Foundation

The Foundation Stage is made up of Nursery and Reception class. The Reception Class Teacher is Mrs Hartley and the Nursery teacher is Mrs Ruane. The children in Foundation Stage learn through play. Our setting has Areas of Provision including Sand, Water, Playdough, Creative, Paints, Music, Writing, Construction and Role Play.

You may have noticed the Foundation Stage area has had an extension recently. This canope will enhance the outdoor provision. Now the children can experience the outdoors come rain, or come shine.

The indoor areas of provision, mentioned above, can be more easily mirrored outdoors too. The children will have access to an even wider range of provison. Our children experience varied and purposeful learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors.

At the moment the Reception Role play area is a market shop and the nursery Role play area is a grocery shop (see above).

Children in Foundation Stage learn to follow school and classroom rules.

Last year Foundation Stage performed Whoopsidaisy Angel for the Christmas Play. All the children had an important role to play. Well done to all the children.
